The Wine That Changed His Live
The wine that changed his life was a red wine, Montesierra Crianza. He remembered it perfectly: it was 2005 in Barcelona, near the Cathedral of the Sea.
George was with his colleagues, late at night. They wanted to go to the wine bar Viña del Señor, but the terrace was full, so they ended up in a nearby bar.
His friend John, from the same city as his wife, worked at the same hotel as him. Most days they would go out for dinner or drinks together with their friend Leonard.
And then the moment arrived: John’s phone rang.
It was Emma from Alicante. They started talking about everything. Emma was with her friend Sarah, and the two of them were in high spirits, out partying and laughing. And then came the big question…
Emma said: “Let’s see when you bring John down for us, we’re looking forward to seeing him!”
Oh my God, time seemed to stop. The request came so fast. “Yes, if you want, I can download it now!” he replied.
The faces of his colleagues were priceless — they all looked at the clock together: it was eleven at night. Hahaha!
But Emma and Sarah had an even bigger request… there were no eggs! He could only say: “Sorry!”
Finally, he stood up and said: “Finish your glasses, we’re going to Alicante now.”
They took the car and off they went, arriving in Alicante at around five in the morning. They ended up in a small discobar where two of John’s cousins were DJing. When they saw him walk in, they couldn’t believe their eyes!
Afterwards, they went to sleep at his cousin William’s house — just three short hours of rest with the friends who had traveled with them. During the drive, John had called Emma to tell her that they were on their way, but she didn’t believe him. She simply said she was going to bed because she had a popular lunch planned for the next day.
In the morning, before returning to Barcelona, they went to see Emma. And that was the moment he finally met her. Since then, they had been together, building a wonderful family.
Who would have thought that one wine could change his life like this?
